Yes, our e-bikes and e-scooters comply with Australian regulations, including a max motor power of 250W and a speed limit of 25 km/h.

No, you don’t need a driver’s licence to operate these in Australia, as long as it adheres to the power and speed limits

Pedal assisted ebikes are limited to 25 km/h per hour on electric power in Australia, the max speed before using only pedal power is 25 km/h per hour. Once you reach your speed limit, the rest is up to you. There is nothing to stop you from going faster other than your physical condition to pedal the bike more quickly or if you are going downhill.

Yes, pedalling is what generates the electric power to kick in on your ebike. The pedalling function is what makes an ebike an ebike. Otherwise, it would be classified as a motorbike. Ebikes have a built-in torque sensor in the drivetrain that measures how much force the rider applies to the pedals. This is regulated to match your pedal power with the output from the motor. The design allows you to enjoy a smooth riding experience that doesn’t feel like you are being overpowered by the motor and more like you are pedalling with the motor’s assistance.

Besides being cleaner against your clothing, belt drives are more reliable and robust. Compared to the greasy archaic metal chains, belts can use advanced carbon fibre reinforced rubber to transfer power to the rear wheels. This creates a far more efficient and smoother ride.
